The 37th convoy is prepared and will start on October 3

sahilft

2 days of loading time are behind us

Loading for the 37th convoy was something special.

A little statistics at the beginning – the following vehicles were loaded:

2 buses with 799 packages

2 pickups with 61 packages

1 Mercedes Vito 4x4 with 22 packages

1 Ford Focus station wagon with 15 packages

1 ambulance with 32 packages

1 Opel Zafira was missing with apologies :-) – avoided loading and is on holiday in the Eifel.

In total, around 929 packages passed through the hands of the helpers.

Thank you very much for your efforts.

What does the Bible say? The first will be last.

Our Opel Zafira, which was supposed to be in Ukraine first, only made it as far as Eisenach. Lars' Opel then had to come and take over the trip to Kiev. The Zafira had to go back again.

The patient is loaded for return transport to the Eifel.

There he is now. The only advantage: Dirk doesn't have to crawl under the car, but can use a stage this time. There's nothing wrong with that - we're already looking after the health of our fellow campaigners!!!

Presentation of the vehicles

Loading the vehicles

It's a shame you can't see the sweat. It was quite warm on Sunday.

Help that arrives, even when someone is in the way –

what was that about the plane and the shavings?

Unfortunately, one of the buses did not arrive at Tannenweg as unscathed as we had planned. The curve in Marie-Curie-Straße is simply too tight. Apart from the metal, no one was hurt. Of course, with such large operations as the convoys, things like this can happen.

The pictures show the rest of the story:

The damage - the rear door wouldn't open anymore. Something was bent.

That's what happens when you bring all your tools to Ukraine - a tension belt and muscle power have to be enough to do the repairs.

The slackline is assembled, we can begin.

It worked, what was crooked is now straight again.

Great. The door works again.

Tool donation handover from Reifenhäuser

While the bus was being loaded, the tool donation was handed over personally by representatives of Reifenhäuser. Many thanks for that.

The "Chorned One" was also there

Where do the antlers come from?

A quad is being loaded

Start in the hall. Brief starting difficulties.

Let's get started.

Off through the middle. Helping can be fun too.

Arrival for loading onto the bus.

And what happens next?

A short discussion and the solution is found.

Put some pallets underneath and it will work.

That's fine - it's included. And in Bonn you're not even allowed to take e-scooters on the bus. We're a bit more generous there.

Camouflaged. Will customs find the vehicle?

The big weighing

I'm laughing my head off - we're too heavy again. Why could that be?

Setup for scales.

And finally ...

I wonder if everything is in there? The bus is full.

Nets ready for fall fishing.

The fastest pallet service in the region. Just give us a call and we'll be there in no time.

Now it is time to say thank you again,

to all helpers and donors that we can once again bring so many donations to Ukraine with this convoy.

Donations are urgently needed there to make daily life a little easier.
