*Convoy 48* - Final preparations.

Tomorrow morning, February 20th, a logistical feat will begin: Our convoy No. 48 will set off. Under the banner of Sankt Augustin and Friends, tons of vital supplies will be transported eastward.

Now ready to hit the road—thanks Dirk for maintaining and repairing our vehicles.

This time, our logistics chain will start simultaneously at two different locations.

From Bocholt: Two fully loaded 40-ton trucks and a pickup truck form the backbone of the transport. On board, we have "heavy artillery" against the still-ongoing winter cold: two 20 kW generators, and some smaller units, and a large number of gas and electric radiant heaters. This is a strong joint project with Mr. Richter and his organization IDEEN-GEBER .

The shipment is supplemented by urgently needed medical supplies and bandages.

From Sankt Augustin: A fully equipped fire engine and a van loaded with IT infrastructure, household appliances, and other equipment are departing from here. The team is accompanied by two cars.

Almost all vehicles, from fire trucks to cars, remain in Ukraine for permanent deployment. Only the two 40-ton trucks return after unloading.

The goal: To cross the border together tand head forward to Dmytriwka

The plan is precisely timed. The teams from Bocholt and Sankt Augustin meet in Poland to cross the border into Ukraine as a single convoy. The final destination is Dmytrowka. There, the goods are transferred for onward transport to our local locations.

To guarantee a smooth process, our board member Gunther has been on-site in Ukraine for a week already. He is preparing the reception and onward transport so that every aid shipment later arrives exactly where it is needed.

"Such a transport is only possible because countless hands work together. From the donors and the donation receiving department, to the teams who sometimes load until late at night and prepare the logistics in advance, to the drivers who travel thousands of kilometers. We are incredibly proud of this collective achievement."

Stay tuned

We will keep you updated on the progress of Convoy 48 here and on our social media channels starting tomorrow. A huge thank you, as always, to all our supporters!
