Support for our homeless projects and the Sibilla Hospice Bödingen, Hennef-Bödingen

Sankt Augustin and friends hilft eV is known far beyond the region for its commitment to Ukraine.

In addition to this commitment, Sankt Augustin and friends helps eV has also committed itself to regional aid, in particular regional homeless aid, in accordance with its statutes. Here we want to support the purchase of refrigerators that are urgently needed in rooms.

At the same time, we want to support the Sibilla Hospice Bödingen. With the opening of the Sibilla Hospice in Hennef-Bödingen in the spring, a place of life will be created and the palliative care offered for the terminally ill in Hennef and the region will be expanded.

a 24-hour fundraising marathon will take place.

You are cordially invited to actively support these ambitious projects.

The idea

A 24-hour charity marathon – tour around the Rhein-Sieg district = 1 lap 328 km – with a variety of sports equipment that allows kilometer measurement (bikes, cross trainers and rowing machines).

We drive fictitiously from Sankt Augustin around the Rhein-Sieg district and back, and do it as often as possible in 24 hours.

When: May 25, 2024

Start: 4:00 p.m.

Duration: 24 hours

End: May 26, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.

What: sporting competition to generate donations through

kilometers driven

How: through provided indoor sports equipment such as

Cycling bikes, cross trainers and rowing machines

Who: Clubs, companies, aid organizations, individuals, min. age 14 years

Who else: Children under 10 years. We provide Bobby Cars for them.

How can you donate?

Through the entry fees of the teams and/or individuals.

Donations of time slots and bikes. Example: 60 minutes for 20.00 euros per bike/device and/or per team. The money must be raised by the teams themselves or by self-organized donors.

A team that books a piece of sports equipment for 24 hours will donate 250.00 euros.

Where does the fundraising marathon take place?

Location: Schützenhaus Niederpleis

Facilities of the location:

- sanitary facilities with showers and washing facilities are available

- Rest room for physiological help and rest breaks before and

after the sporting event.

- Sports room space for 20 – 30 sports equipment

Here you will also have the opportunity to enjoy the snacks and drinks offered by our catering and to linger.

- Catering is provided by the shooting club (concessions available)

There are energy-rich meals for the athletes, and cereal bars and fruit are also on the menu.

The sports equipment:

The necessary sports equipment is provided by members and regional fitness studios.

Support for athletes:

There are loungers and a place for rest and physiotherapy available for the entire 24 hours of the marathon.

First aid for minor injuries is provided directly on site.

The event:

In addition to the sporting side, there will be an entertainment program for visitors.

Face painting is offered for children. Children can use the Bobby Cars provided to take part in the donation

marathon participate.

At the same time, participants and visitors can find out more about the association and its work.

Participating clubs and groups will be offered a place (the size of a standing table) to present themselves (please bring a standing table).
